This getaway was sparked by a special beer release (Art) at  Hill Farmstead Brewery which is located in rural Greensboro Bend, Vermont. Most of Vermont does not get great cell phone reception, if at all.  Its the perfect place to go and recharge.  The six hour car ride was relaxing for my husband and I as we had uninterrupted time to chat and enjoy the beautiful scenery.Since this was a last minute trip, we used our Airbnb app to find a place to stay.  Some friends ended up joining us so we rented an entire house on a lake in Barton (about a 30 minute drive to HFB).  The house was large enough for 4 adults, a baby and 2 dogs! TIP: Airbnb is a great way to go on a weekend getaway on a budget.  All you have to do is sign up, (SIGN UP IS FREE)! Up in this area of VT, there aren’t too many restaurants, especially when we went. There was a snowstorm which caused lots of places to close.  We went to a local market and bought some food to make at home (A great thing about Airbnb is that the houses usually have full kitchens).  We also went to our favorite VT pizza place, Parker Pie, in West Glover. We’ve been countless times and its just fantastic!

I highly recommend taking a ride up to Hill Farmstead if you like beer. You will not be disappointed.
