After a few days in Dublin, we rented a car from Europcar and drove west to Galway. Galway is such a charming city! We had an AMAZING time. Hands down it is my favorite place in Ireland! My husband, drove most of the time (I enjoyed lots of car naps), it took him about an hour to fully be comfortable driving on the other side of the road, he is now a pro! There is hope for Americans driving overseas! We were so excited when Europcar gave us this beauty, so thankful for upgrades! Shout out to our amazing Airbnb in the background, it was so cute!

So what did we do in Galway?

Our first stop was the Latin Quarter.  We parked our car in a garage and walked around the pedestrian area.The colorful streets in the Latin Quarter are filled with pubs, restaurants, shops and street musicians.We also went a little out of the touristy area and found a beautiful cove.  I love these shots below! On the next post I’ll share about our visit to the Aran Island of Inishmore, in Galway Bay.
