One of Switzerland’s best kept secrets is a town named Schwarzenberg (it so happens to be one of our favorite places). Schwarzenberg, is located on the foothills of Mount Pilatus, just 20 minutes outside of Lucerne. The scenery is breathtaking and the people are kind and welcoming! Our last visit was in May (pre-covid). Early one morning during our stay, we decided to take a walk and explore the area. In awe, we watched the fog and mist roll through the hills surrounding Schwarzenberg. If you are looking to relax and enjoy Swiss nature, this is definitely the place to visit! There are great trails at varying levels of difficulty along Mount Pilatus.
On our walk, we were joined by local schoolchildren heading to school. We were also joined by this cute little fella!
We so wish we had more time to spend in this town (& Switzerland in general), we enjoyed it immensely. We hope to be back one day soon!

We ate very well at Restaurant Rössli, they made us feel so welcome despite the language barrier (in this area, most people speak Swiss-German). Cheers & thanks for reading!
